Build Fast. Repair Slow. Complete Clinical Protein.
A specialized dual-action protein modular combining whey for immediate muscle synthesis and calcium caseinate for sustained muscle repair — engineered for ICU-grade enteral nutrition.
Engineered for Clinical Efficiency
Addressing specific nutritional challenges in acute and chronic care settings.
Dual-Action Proteins
Combines rapidly absorbed whey for an immediate anabolic response with slowly digested calcium caseinate to prevent muscle breakdown and support tissue reconstruction over time.
Learn the scienceHigh-Density Nutrition
Delivers 6g of high-quality complete protein in a minimal 7.5g scoop — mixes easily in 60 mL of water with no lumping, making it ideal for tube feeding and oral supplementation alike.

Bridging the Critical Protein Gap
Evidence shows that enteral formulas alone met only 55% of the lowest international protein standards for critically ill patients — without overfeeding calories. ProSource® raised that figure to 94%.
-
Supports Wound Healing
Whey peptides have been shown to improve wound healing, including post-surgical recovery, through sustained amino acid availability and protein synthesis.
-
Meets ASPEN & ESPEN Guidelines
ASPEN recommends 1.2–2.0 g/kg body weight (BMI <30). ESPEN recommends 1.3 g/kg. ProSource® helps clinicians hit these targets without contributing excess calories.
-
Optimal Protein Reduces ICU Mortality
Evidence suggests optimal protein and energy nutrition decreases mortality in mechanically ventilated, critically ill patients (JPEN, January 2012).
The Dual-Action Advantage
Two proteins. Two release profiles. One complete formula.
Whey is a fast-acting protein derived from milk. Its amino acids are available immediately after ingestion, stimulating protein synthesis and muscle enhancement rapidly.
Calcium Caseinate has a slower absorption profile, releasing amino acids gradually into the blood. This inhibits protein breakdown and is essential for reconstructing broken-down muscle tissue.
High Protein. Zero Fat.
A lean macronutrient profile designed for clinical precision — maximum protein benefit without caloric overfeeding.

Dosing & Administration
Straightforward protocols for versatile clinical application.
Oral Administration
Add one or more scoops (7.5g) or packets to any cold or hot liquid, moist food, soup, shake, or smoothie. Stir until completely dissolved. The neutral flavor ensures compliance across various food types.
Tube Feeding
Mix one scoop (7.5g) or one packet into 60 mL of water. Stir until completely dissolved. Infuse via syringe down the feeding tube.
Important: Flush tube with 30–60 mL water before and after administration. Can be safely mixed with enteral formula.
Food Fortification
Can be added to pureed and soft foods for enhanced protein content. Neutral taste ensures no alteration to the flavor of patient meals — ideal for patients with reduced appetite.
Medical Food Notice: Use under medical supervision. Not a sole source of nutrition. NOT FOR PARENTERAL USE. Item 19104 — Neutral. Shelf life: 24 months.

Frequently Asked Questions
ProSource® combines fast-acting whey protein with slow-release calcium caseinate. Whey delivers an immediate amino acid spike for muscle synthesis, while casein releases gradually to prevent muscle breakdown. Standard whey-only supplements only address the fast phase, missing the sustained protection casein provides.
Yes. ProSource® is specifically formulated for enteral use. It has an osmolality of just 10 mOsm/kg water when mixed in 60 mL, mixes without lumping, and can be safely mixed with enteral formula. Always flush the tube with 30–60 mL water before and after administration.
ProSource® is indicated for patients who need additional protein beyond what their enteral formula provides — particularly ICU and critically ill patients, post-surgical recovery cases, and those at risk of protein deficiency. It is designed to bridge the protein gap without overfeeding calories.
The formula contains both natural and artificial vanilla flavors, along with soy lecithin as an emulsifier. Despite this, the overall taste profile is neutral — it does not noticeably alter the flavor of foods or liquids it is added to, supporting patient compliance.
